Coordinator of Volunteer Ministries "That's the secret of entertaining. You make your guests feel welcome and at home. If you do that honestly, the rest takes care of itself." I love to entertain (it must be the Polish in me)! Whether it is a small dinner with just a few guests or a big party for lots of family and friends, I enjoy planning and hosting all kinds of get-togethers! I try very hard to make sure that all my guests feel welcomed and comfortable in my home. I want them to feel how happy we are that they are there and I also want them to be excited about coming back. Here at St. Mary’s, we want everyone who enters our doors to feel the same way . . . welcomed by all whom they come in contact with and excited to come back! One very important way we accomplish that is through our Welcome Center Ministry. When guests enter our building, they are greeted by a warm smile. If they have any questions, the Welcome Center Greeter shares information about our church with them and helps them to feel comfortable here. In order to continue this important ministry we are in need of additional greeters. All that is required is a smiling face, a willingness to serve and a time commitment of 15 minutes prior to and immediately following Mass once a month. Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads of the parish, especially my husband Ken! How blessed my children are to have a father who loves the Lord and believes in serving others. He is a wonderful example to both of them. There are many opportunities for you as a Father to get involved here at St. Mary’s and to demonstrate to your children how important it is to do for others.
